The machine tool industry is constantly researching into new methods, machining possibilities, and the optimisation of existing processes. FWF e. V., the research association for machine tools and manufacturing technologies, takes up priority subjects in its research projects.
FWF e. V., the research association for machine tools and manufacturing technologies, is an important driving force behind innovations for small and medium-sized industries and its object is to promote science, research, and the development of metal and automated production technologies in all relevant fields. It initiates and coordinates for its about 100 member companies joint industrial research projects.
The research projects financed by the AiF ("Otto von Guericke" German Federation of Industrial Cooperative Research Associations) or by own funds are oriented to the needs of the industry such that the findings can very often be applied directly at the companies. This form of pre-competitive research provides an ideal platform for communication between industry and science.
