Stuttgart, 8 November 2011: "2011 has been an extremely successful year for the German machine vision industry. We are now in the finishing straight, and will exceed the new record figure of €1.5 billion by the end of the year", said Dr. Olaf Munkelt, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the VDMA Machine Vision Group, during the VISION 2011 Press Lunch in Stuttgart. "Sales in 2011 will increase by at least 20 per cent. There is still a substantial backlog of received orders. If a large proportion of these existing orders can be processed by the end of the year, the 20 per cent mark could actually be surpassed.".
