Mechanical engineering supports Altmaier's demand for fair competitive conditions

Set conditions for local 5G frequencies now as fast as possible
After the end of the 5G auction, the VDMA and three other industry associations are pushing for the Federal Network Agency to announce the terms and conditions for the allocation of local frequencies as quickly as possible. This is the only way for the industry to plan its own 5G networks in the production facilities and position itself as a leading supplier for industrial 5G applications.

"One big step, but one that fell short!"
German Parliament has cleared the way for a regulated immigration of skilled workers. However, the law remains inadequate with regard to rules such as the recognition of foreign university degrees.
Investors remain insecure
In April, new orders in the mechanical engineering sector fell for the fifth consecutive month. Weak domestic business and a lack of foreign orders resulted in a decline of 11 percent compared to the previous year.
